corner of my eye I think I see a little movement at the bottom of the sink…probably just my imagination…and I splash some water on my face. Wait, something is definitely crawling up the drain of the sink despite the deluge of water I am now pouring down upon it. Aaaaaaaaah! I run out of the bathroom. After regaining my courage (and roommates) we return to find a monstrous centipede chilling out in the sink. Now the picture here does not do this thing justice…this thing was easily half a foot long.
Anyway, back to the traveling. We got up at
As is the case in many countries, traveling solely to tourist destinations here will give you a very negative view of the people. Beggars and peddlers crowd around tourists in these destinations. I’ve found the people have very few morals with regard to this: they will lie to your face or make elaborate scams to get your money. This is really quite a shame because you must be wary of anyone near these places, and of course does not represent the majority of the Indian people.

Funny thing is, I'm a camper and an outdoorsy girl, but I CANNOT handle bugs in the bathroom! Those two items just should never go together.
It's beautiful, Ben! Where are you storing all of these pictures? Facebook? Flickr? Webshots? Private?
I know man, there is definitely something wrong with bugs in the bathroom!
I haven't put a mass collection of pictures on the web yet because the internet access is a pain, but I will attempt to do so in the next few days by popular demand.
i'm glad you enjoyed agra.. did you check out some of the other historical forts in the area, like across the river? and bugs in india.. you'll get used to them! :) but i don't like them either!
hey buddy, I am glad you are having a fun time. Yep, India -- she is a seductress, what else can I say? Its as if, to be in India and to enjoy the country, you have to go through "tests" and essentially, break down any pre-conceived notions you may have had about her. Its always happy times though.

edinburgh's still great and grey!
see you!
Very true Subash Ji, I continually find that it is difficult to avoid looking at India and its culture without a "Western lense." Even so, every day offers new surprises!
Wow, Beatriz, good to hear from you! Where in India are your parents moving...and when do you get to come visit?! I'm spending three months here.
Edinburgh remains close to my heart. Send me an email (through my website benrossmusic.com) when you get a chance!
